据ESPN名记Shams Charania报道，莱恩原本打算和步行者签约，但在湖人取消马克-威廉姆斯交易创造出新的机会之后，莱恩决定加盟湖人。
在今年交易截止日当天（2月7日）的一笔三方交易中，莱恩被送去了奇才，之后遭裁掉。
本赛季莱恩为国王出战了35场常规赛，场均上场7.2分钟可以得到1.4分1.8篮板。
